During your child’s initial appointment, you will have the opportunity to meet with our team and get to know Dr. Ritchie. We are committed to educating you and your child about their dental needs and will answer any questions you may have concerning treatment.

Appointments
At Tyler Pediatric Dentistry, we understand that you have busy schedules to coordinate. That’s why our office will work with you to find an appointment time that is suitable for both you and your child. We welcome you to call us at (903) 531-9000 to reserve your appointment time!
Because all children are more prepared and do better in the mornings, we try our best to schedule any restorative work such as fillings and extractions during the morning hours. School-age children will be given a note from our office regarding their dental appointment time so that their absence will be excused.
We strive to give every child the time and individual attention they deserve. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before appointment time to complete any paperwork. If you think that you may be more than 10 minutes late, please call right away. We may need to reschedule the appointment. If we are able to see your child, we cannot guarantee that all treatment will be completed.
We understand that unexpected events can cause changes in your schedule. As a courtesy, we ask that you notify us 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment. If notice is not given, a $25 fee will be charged to your account. If more than two broken/missed appointments or two cancellations without 24-hour notice occur, we reserve the right to refuse scheduling any subsequent appointments.

Your Child’s First Visit
Your child’s first visit with us may include some or all of the following:
- Comprehensive oral examination
- Full mouth digital x-rays
- Dental hygiene instruction
- Teeth cleaning
- One-on-one consultation with our dentist to discuss needs, concerns, goals, and treatment options
During your visit, we will answer any and all questions about your child’s oral health. We will provide a detailed financial consultation to ensure treatments are timed effectively and affordably.
Insurance and Billing
We can help you maximize your benefits. We recommend that you contact our office prior to your appointment to provide us with insurance information for verification of benefits. We accept most major dental insurances and will file most claims for you as a courtesy. We will provide you with an explanation of your dental benefits and financial responsibilities up front, and work with you to ensure financing, if needed.
Financing Options
We provide multiple financing options to ensure you can receive the treatments you need with a plan you can afford. We accept cash, check, debit and credit cards, and CareCredit financing.
